So, the Blond Bombshell is in place and the Old Grumpy no longer has a place. On the assumption that there has been enough stuff about the election and why the result was as it was, I will not comment. I will of course be happy to have a go at the Boris if he fails to deliver the things which will help our investments.
As I am sure you will have anticipated the FTSEE100 , 250 and indeed the AIM market all reacted well making good gains on the result. In the States in spite of the current legal spat he has with the Democrats, The Trumpers apparent draw back from the scrap with China gave all of the USA markets a boost albeit not as much a s the Boris bounce in the UK. This retreat had an impact in China with its markets pulling ahead over the week although the Hang Seng, Hong Kongs market showed everyone the way home with a great 4.49% bounce.
As we approach the end of a difficult year, I am feeling quietly confident that we will have a reasonable result for the calendar year. Although we still must get Brexit out of the way the signs are good for 2020.
