Are my investments protected?
Yes. We are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) if we cannot meet our obligations. This is dependent on the type of business and the circumstances of the claim.
Most types of investment business are covered up to a maximum limit of £50,000 whereas Insurance business is covered for 90% of the claim, without any upper limit.
Are you Independent?
Yes. We will recommend investments and pensions based on a comprehensive and fair analysis of the market. We will place no restrictions on the Investment Markets we will consider before providing recommendations, unless you instruct us otherwise. We will only make a recommendation when we know it is suitable for you.
For non-investment protection contracts we offer products (e.g. term assurance, income protection and critical illness) from a range of insurers.
Are you Authorised?
We are Authorised and Regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Our registration number is 463676. The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulates financial services in the UK and you can check our authorisation and permitted activities on the Financial Services Register by visiting the FAC’s website www.fca.org.uk/firms/systems-reporting/register or by contacting the FCA on 0800 111 6768.
Estate planning and the provision of wills are not regulated by the FCA. What are your Estate Planning fees?
We have set fees for all of our Wills, LPAs and trusts and our complete fee list will be provided to you with your first appointment confirmation letter so there are no hidden surprises. We do not charge an hourly rate so our advice is free.
For all Probate cases, a detailed quote will be provided following our initial assessment of the probate services required and we don’t progress work until we have your approval of the costs involved.
