One of the challenges with writing these is not so much finding something to write about, it’s that there is so much I could write about! I know what excites.

And I thought today’s musings would be commenting on the outcome of the Brexit vote, how naïve of me was that? No point in my trying to guess what the Boris will achieve with his three letters to the mainland, or indeed what direction the various loose cannons in the Mother of Parliaments will go over the next few days. The one thing I am sure of is that if anyone of them was suddenly put in charge of a company, small or large, that employed many (or just a few) people they would be wondering what these self-seeking, well paid and pensioned numskulls are there for.
Although I, as you may have noticed, often despair at the actions of the Trumper, which seem to remain unimpeded by the USA political system, at least he seems to be able to get things done. Even if they are often quite stupid. Speaking of the Trumper it is now clear that the slowdown in the USAs economy is due to a large degree to his foibles. He is now trying to blame the Fed, which will not wash having previously blamed everyone from Obama to Merkel.
So to the markets.
A mixed week this week with the FTSEE 100 down but the FTSE250 slightly up. In the USA the DOW was down but the NASDAQ and the S&P 500 up. The same story in the far east and Europe with ups and downs over the main indexes.
