Queen Elizabeth 1926 – 2022
Yesterday was a day that none of us will forget. Whatever you may feel about the Royal family, we lost an incredible woman. A woman who, at a young age and time when women were still very much second class citizens, became the ruler of a nation. A woman who carried herself with power, grace, dignity and humour in the face of trails harder than most of us will ever have to encounter. A woman who didn’t shirk her duty once in 70 years. Yesterday our King lost his mother and woke this morning knowing he must take her place. Stepping into the shoes of a parent who has commanded the respect and love of those they lead and serve is no small task and our thoughts are with him and the Family at this most difficult of times.
