Having been looking forward to getting back to normal on Wednesday, the new Tier rules have pretty much put a stop to those plans. At the risk of repeating what I am sure you have become somewhat bored with, under the tier 2 restrictions we are not allowed to visit you at home, I’m not sure whether or not we can come to your office. However you can come to our office which is set up for Covid meetings and it goes without saying that we will be delighted to welcome you to our office whenever you would like to come. Please do get in touch to arrange a meeting.
We have been conducting meetings via zoom which have worked well, and we will of course be continuing to offer zoom meetings for those of our clients who are comfortable with online conversations. Again, if you would like to zoom please get in touch.
I hope that when the rules are reassessed on the 16th December we will be taken out of tier two and moved to tier one so we can get back to meeting our clients which I believe is an essential part of the service we offer.
The news from the USA where the outgoing President is still making fatuous claims that everyone, including the FBI, conspired against him, is positive with the choices that Biden is making for his cabinet moving the markets forward. Here in the UK despite concerns about Brexit the FTSE 100 had a positive week. Across the rest of the world the Nikkei lead the way with a gain of 4.37%. Mainland Europe in the shape of the DAX and CAC40 has stayed in growth mode in spite of the political battles in both countries.
So, to the markets.
